THE WINCHESTER-TO-SOUTHAMPTON BROWNCOAT BiCYCLE RUN - In honour of Joss Whedon, who maybe in town sleeping Cool -

First stop – the Southgate Street sandwich shop.

The bulk of the fleet succeeded in entering the Ocean. Later that year he passed the batteries defending Vicksburg, Mississippi. Phantom Humphries the Monk Apparition of Haunted Hampshire fame! According to legend, Admiral Farragut (who was lashed to the rigging of his flagship the USS Hartford) shouted down the order, "Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead!" As good as anything Whorf ever said in Star Trek: DS9.

Past the various watery wonders of James Cameron’s “Titanic” steaming out of port. Past haunted abbey, haunted coaching inn and haunted monastery. Bicycle along down the Streams to the sea, towards the Isle of Cythera. Greenjackets and Browncoats together, so to speak.

Mal Reynolds at the Anti-Air-Craft 55mm Gun-platform shooting up at some peaceful game of “Pilot Wings”; movie scale water flowing down the side of a huge concrete waterfall or metal sculpture. The tidal waves in “The Abyss Special Edition” aqua technology in a Future vertical world like Nintendo “Monkey ball” altitude waterfalls, plus water flowing down the sides of ships; and alongside ships. That “Apocalypse Now” dawn Cav Heli raid.

“The Battle of Serenity”
The pair of doors opens up to a view of the floating monastery on the misty lake… If you bring to the monastery the following burdens:
Self-Hatred
Frustration
Envy
Anxiety
Doubt
Defeat
Feeling tiresome
…We will use tantric ways of healing you.

“To see yonder Steampunk Marinas”
Starts outside the Cathedral Grounds CINEMA-FILM camera shop.
Cycle along the Canals. Through the New Forest… Dresscode for Browncoat ‘reenactors/living future historians’: Somewhere between the Opening pre-Title sequence of “Sons of Liberty: Metal Gear Solid 2” and USMC Hummer Cycle Recon unit (1st Force Reconnaissance Company); mixed with the dresscode for the Battle of Serenity Valley, episode one on the DVD, Mal Reynolds rallying the troops.

Calling all the Spirits of the Southern Cross of Light, come and hear our Call! Water flowing around and on a truck in heavy rain road conditions. Calling red-&-white Unigate straw monsters. I can imagine this done as an animee in the style of Hayao Miyazaki’s water-aerial sequence manga-movies like “Laputa: Castle in the Sky”, “Nausica” or “Porko Rosso” (etc). On August 5, 1864, Farragut won a great victory in the Battle of Mobile Bay. Mobile, Alabama, at the time was the Confederacy's last major port open on the Gulf of Mexico.

The Planet Newhall. Cycle past sacred Wells * shrine Springs with fishing nearby, anglers looking crestfallen with boredom. Chugging past in “The Orca”; third act of the original “Jaws”; Blockade runners played like Captain Rhett Butler on the high seas yet now enacted instead by Diplomatic Actor Star George Clooney, is in the Opening titles of “A Perfect Storm”; the two Swordfishing boats sailing into Gloucester Harbor. Inspiration for a Newhall naval wargame set during the Unification War: Calling on All the Spirits of the Spirits of the South!
