Can't wait to listen!

Guess I found an extra activity that I'll be doing on this day off from work for me.

That's what I'm listening to now. I got my answer to the Question of the Week read in the episode.

Is it okay to geek out?

I'm currently awaiting the second volume of the Official Companion, but I have peered at the small print on Inara's companion license. The two halves (top section, bottom section) are the same text, with different titles, and the text is about the Olympia National Bank trust estate! Smile

Has anyone told Inara? Someone should stop her before she does any more companioning without a legitimate license. Or do you think Mal replaced it as a joke? Wink

Oh bummer. I am so disappointed! Why would they do that? It just seems so wrong!

I'd be interested to know just who was it that picked that text. (Although presumedly we don't need to look much further than the prop department.) Were they a member of the trust? Just happened to stumble across the text online or something and thought "that'd fill things out nicely"? Just grabbed a spare piece of prop from somewhere else?

Ah the fickle choices of prop makers...

The actor is Jack Ward, who played Simon in Old Wounds. Smile

Romana will appear in flashback in something we're putting together for Firefly Talk's "Summer of Serenity" series - so I hope you've nominated Firefly Talk (in Movies and Films and Best Produced) over at podcastawards.com!

Of course I have!!!!

I was just thinking. I have listened to the show again. And I was thinking as I was listening to the email about Boaderline.

You now probally know how Joss must have felt, having to kill off a hugely popular character. Its part of the story, but you still get the hate mail.

There was an email (I believe it was an email) where a fan was asking if there was any possibility of SciFi network taking on Firefly after Battlestar is off next season. I know you guys kinda shot this listner/rumor down as just a rumor.... but well...what is our next plan of action? We got our movie but Gorramit I want a trilogy! or more stuff from the 'verse....even if it is just a spin off. Is there anyway we could come up with a plan of action? A letter writting campaign to SciFi Network or something? Maybe a survey of Browncoats with some serious numbers to share with a network? I mean I am totally willing to be one of many folks to send that network nuts (cases and cases) to get more Firefly. Has there been any recent discussion of action? I've done the guerilla marketing stuff as much as possible and have given away a lot of Firefly and Serenity. I am just wondering if now might be a good time to try another campaign. At this point I think a lot of listeners see The Signal and Firefly Talk as leaders in the Fandom. And if you guys come up with a clever, attention getting way to have any network look at Firefly - I think almost all of us would get on that bandwagon. Oh and I have not one clever idea myself so I am in no way meaning to be obnoxiously critical. Very Happy
Keep up the great work!
p.s. I was sad when you killed Romana Ling too. It grew on me as the season progressed. It was certainly extremely well written. Thank you for an adventure in the 'verse!

See this thread - in particular the tdbrown quote about Operation Signal Boost. It'd probably a good idea to continue that topic there.

Rest assured that if Serenity II does not happen, we'll be going full pelt for something else. But until September passes, we focus on getting a sequel.

There's more to come, I promise.
