|
|
So here at SerenityLA, Nathan called Joss on stage to ask if Morena could reveal Inara's reason for joining Serenity... He said no then called back and said he could reveal Book's history...
And that is this: Book was Not an Operative. He had been a cop though, for the Alliance. A bad cop. This is why hehad the thought he did in the Objects In Space episode. This is also partly why Book felt he should defend the Lawman in the pilot episode.

| Interestingly, Nathan's ringtone for Joss is Crickets Chirping. |

Can you give us some verification, please?
(Yes, I realize this is an old post and the OP may not even be reading this thread anymore. But if anyone else has proof, I'd be interested.) |

I guess you could find someone else who was in the audience at the convention. _________________ --------------------------------

Aren't they just going to say wait for the Sepherd's Tale? _________________ Alliance, n. In international politics, the union of two thieves who have their hands so deeply inserted in each other's pockets that they cannot separately plunder a third. |

doesnt really make sense though.
if he was a dirty cop, why did the alliance help him, no questions asked when he was shot? |

Because he might have been dirty to further Alliance goals.
(Like framing people for political reasons.) |

but that would mean that he was 'possibly' still working for them, and that wouldnt make him a dirty cop, just a damn spook doing his job.
and if he Had left, I doubt that the alliance would have been happy about it, so why help him? Still doesnt make sense (in my mind anyway) |

Because not all dirty cops get caught and punished. Some of them realize that they've gone wrong and walk away from the job. THOSE dirty cops are retired with benefits and awards and are generally considered Big Damn Heroes. _________________ If you didn't want to know, why did you ask?
