Over at thewb.com, you can now watch all the Firefly episodes.
It's odd that they would be shown on a non-Fox network.
But I have to wonder...could WB aka CW have bought the rights? Maybe streaming online to test out the market? _________________ ~Big Damn Fan~ |

| I really hope this is so. Considering how many browncoats have been converted by the dvd and have the dvds themselves who is going to watch it? Its obvious the market is there due to the massive increase in browncoats at events. |

It seems I cannot access the site being a non-Us surfer - but if this is true, it is VERY hopeful! Thanks kaonevar for sharing this bright light _________________ The Road to Violence (Mahatma Ghandi):

How is the CW airin Firefly online any different from anyother US only site which airs it? If someone had bought the rights you wouldn't hear about it like this Joss would post about it. _________________ Alliance, n. The difference is that CW doesn't usually air things not owned by them. That'd be like Fox showing a some ABC series... very unlikely.
Unless, they got the rights to it or the syndication rights.
Since nothing official is here, we wouldn't hear from Joss. If they are testing the waters and nothing more at the moment, it makes sense that we wouldn't hear from Joss.
Besides, it is still cool that CW's showing it and we can all hope. No need to squash them. _________________ ~Big Damn Fan~ |

Hey, I'm not squashing anything. I want to see more Firefly and Serenity as much as you do. But it doesn't help anyone if we pounce on every little scrap of rumour and say this means we're going to get it. We know Joss would do another movie if he got the chance. We know all of the actors are in. I just get a little tired of everytime one of them reiterates that act it turns into a sequel rumour. It's gnerally agreed in the community that a Serenity 2 movie remains the best chance we have for new content, although that diminishes as more time passes. A new firefly series is extremely unlikely. The actors ghave committments they have to fulfil. Summer isn't going to quit the Sarah Connor Chronicles, the other's will get other acting jobs as well. If we were going to get a new series it would probably have to be some kind of spin off with a whole new crew. _________________ Alliance, n. Welcome to the forums, kaonevar. I'm sure all of us here will understand the desperate desire to see more Firefly. You are certainly not alone in that.
The trouble is, it just ain't happening. As reported here, a month ago and probably several other places too, Joss said of the last rumor: "the rumors are not being circulated by anyone who owns a studio, and nobody’s knocking on our door." Now, only a few weeks later, you're starting another rumor for Joss to deny? Dude, give the man a break! I'd rather he spent his time working on Dr H and Dollhouse than having to waste it denying rumors.
Joss also said in the same interview: "The rumors are there because people really wish it would happen". I get it. We all do. Yes, it hurts to face reality, but the only rumor we need to keep alive is the one that says Browncoats are not going away, and that when the studios are ready (which one day, they will be), we'll be there for them. _________________

Yeah, I don't care if we have to wait til Nathon's in his sixties and can't squeeze into his tight pants anymore and Summer's in her mid forties and is still playing a teenager. _________________ Alliance, n. | Actually, William Shatner still played his role as Captain James T Kirk long after he had no hair... |
