Jayne's kind mum has knitted for each of his buddies a cunning hat. The letter she sends with each explains how she designed the colour scheme and style individually to suit each person. But of course her picture of each crew member is based on how Jayne has described them to her in his letters and waves home ....
What will each hat look like? And how closely will it match the intended wearer's actual personality and style?

Jayne receives a wave from his mother. There are some "undesirables" who have come to town and are treating the population quite harshly in all manner of ways. Jayne and the crew decide to pay a visit. We find out all sorts of good stuff about Jayne.

After the events in the BDM, Simon changes quarters and moves into Shephard Book's old room. He finds something that Book has mistakenly left behind, something that unlocks some the mystery about Book.
