Happy Valentines Day
Not much Serenity news today, so I thought I'd stray WAY off-topic and get a little personal with you all. And since I run this place, I shouldn't get into too much trouble... I'll get right to the point, yet another Valentines day has gone by and I'm still single, and I'm looking to change that.
Like I said, right to the point. 
Now don't get me wrong, I'm not down — far from it. In fact I'm very happy with where I've been and where I'm going in life. I'm just looking forward to traversing more of the road ahead with somebody else. Of course that begs the question, why am I still single. (I've had two long-term relationships, but it's been a while) Two reasons really, I'm far too busy to date much, and what little dating I do, I'm having a difficult time finding women with common interests. I've tried the online dating thing, but that hasn't worked. Then it hit me today, about 2000 people visit this site everyday, and ALL of them share at least one interest.
So if you are single (and female - ahem), drop me a note or PM and let's chat.
With luck, maybe we can get a few flans together.

I concur, I've met Duncan, he's far from fat. 
Actually, I'd say that I've met far more female Browncoats than I have male. Although most of them have been married - or too young.
Now if I just looked like Nathan Fillion I'd probably be good to go. Although come to think of it, when I had more hair, I did look a bit like Sean...

I need somewhere to stay on the nights of 29th April to 1st May 2005. I finally managed to buy me a ticket to get in, but I still can't afford the hotel accomodation.
Any other flans going who think they might be able to put me up somewhere for the three nights? If so, let me know.

Hey Jeremy,
Did you see that news segment a couple of weeks ago on "The Mating Crisis?" It was almost painful to watch. They interviewed a bunch of 'single professionals' in SLC and then showed clips of a classic single's ward dance. Cultural Hall and everything.
Anyways, it was amusing. |

Actually I've been doing a fair amount of dating lately, but few Firefly fans. Though this thread did garner a bit of a response, most of it was from people very far away. Nevertheless it has been an interesting little experiment.

That's a very good question. I guess I should have posted this when I first started this messageboard. Who knew it would be so popular.
It may not seem that popular based on the relatively few people who post, but according to my logs, I get nearly 1000 unique visitors everyday.

How does one answer something like that? Do they start in with the measurements ... or small talk. I am just curious never done that... thought about it several times but never had enough courage to do it.

Well, Goddess, you could start with what you're like, personality wise, list some hobbies, maybe the character on FF that you're most like. Then say a little about who you're looking for. For example, I'm most like Zoe, though I look like Kaylee, and I'm looking for Mal with Wash's humor.
