|

ok, completely far fetched here, but.
Anyone noticed what could be classed as a link between the fire fly universe and the buffyverse within the show?
just a random question.
or if you prefer, you think that joss whedon would have placed a few links into angel and firefly if both shows had gone on longer than what they did?
or maybe there are links that just never got to be explained? maybe river is a slayer, cause lets face it she is good at killing people, especially without looking at them. And she is psychic, or possibly psychic(who says that it was whatever the people who kidnapped her did that to her), and then does that mean that the people who did kidnap her are the futures version of a watchers council??
Ok that is FAR FETCHED! but hey, the things you think of when you are trying desperately not to study

| Nah... just don't see it. Sure, there could be some similarities in personalities, but I think that just comes from Joss having certain personalities he finds interesting, rather than any desire to link the universes.. |

Yeah, I must say I think that while he has done linked shows in the past (Buffy and Angel being in the same 'verse), I somehow doubt that that was major point of his Firefly vision. I think we would have heard about that in the time since, anyway, if not on the DVDs somewhere.
But I could be completely wrong. Who knows? _________________ ~Garrett, Practitioner of Larcenous Crafts

The only link I've seen has been Mayor Richard Wilkins III and Gen. Richard Wilkins.
Speaking of the devil, I wouldn't mind seeing Harry Groener, if that's how you spell his name, appear as either a cameo or as a character in the film. Maybe he could be a Blue Sun Exec. Or an Alliance Officer. Maybe a reaver tribe leader. _________________ Take me out to the black,

| Not a plot link, and this has probably been mentioned loads of times - but surely the actors playing the blue hand guys were two of "the Gentlemen" from the Buffy episode "Hush". |

I don't think there are any links between the Firefly verse, and the universe of Buffy & Angel. I think Joss wanted to start something fresh & new w/ Firefly, and it was beautiful. It will be again too. _________________ "May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one." |

I wonder if The Immortal will show up?
(although since Ben Edlund wrote that episode, I betcha money it's the same Immortal that experienced death by nookie in The Tick. "You killed the Immortal!" tee hee hee.)
The Whedonverse is like an M2-brane system. It's beautiful. </nerd> _________________

*******************************************************************
*******************************************************************
**ANGEL SPOILERS (for people outside the US, who haven't seen the final ep. yet)**
*******************************************************************
*******************************************************************
i was thinking it might be cool, since David B is supposed to have a cameo in the movie, and Angel is a vampire and in the last ep signed away his chance to "be a real boy". therefore could theoretically still be alive in 500 years time (assuming he got out of that alley...), so what if his cameo was as Angel, never anything that explained his last 500 years but just to see he's still kicking around might be nice. It could come off as cheesy, but I would have faith that the Genius' at work here would ensure it wasn't. _________________ Idle hands spend time at the genitals, and we all know how much God hates that...

That was a rumor shot down by Chris Buchanan on the OB. David B. will not be in Serenity. _________________ Cantr II

| I don't see any links between the verses, really, though there are venues for them. . . . I would find it interesting if something that happened in the past (maybe involving one of our vampire heroes) was referred to in a insignificant way that only we Buffy/Angel Browncoats would recognise. Though I would find joy in any reference, I'd be thrilled more by something subtle that no one else would pick up on. Small things like that, connecting the verses, are so much more fun, because they're not shoved into your face in a blatant way. . . . . |

| One thing I found interesting, in an in-joke sort of way, is the similarity between the real Blue Sun Corporation logo and the symbol for the Circle Of The Black Thorn. |

never noticed that, but evil and evil.
though technically, is there a circle of the black thorn anymore?
unless it involves something that is going to happen in that alley, cause i think (though foggy memory) that there is only 1 member left, that being angel. The return of angelus??
wild conspiricy theory or what, i think it might be better if i dont continue this idea
