Hey, I hate to ask this 'cause I know the answer is going to make me feel like a dummy, but I can't find where you paste the rss URL to subscribe to Firefly Talk in iTunes? _________________ Rome did not create a great empire by having meetings,

On a Mac, and using iTunes 6 (things are the same for a PC and earlier versions of iTunes, I'm pretty damn sure) go to "Advanced > Subscribe to Podcast..." and paste http://fireflytalk.libsyn.com/rss into the dialogue box that pops up. click OK and you're done. |

I knew I'd feel like a dummy! I looked under Advanced twice, my eyes must have floated right over Subscibe to Podcast. Duh!

Can't get onto the Firefly Talk website, so don't know if they have a forum or not, so I'm posting this here:
Cool podcast. I really, really like it. Can't wait for more. Great job! _________________

Yeah, sorry folks, I'm working to resolve the timeout problems that are happening because we're getting lots and lots of visitors.
Glad you like the show!

Hey Kate, is Episode 15 out yet? _________________ "If Lucas earns $808M for "It's only because I'm so in love. No, it's because I'm so in love with you." and "I'm not going to die in childbirth, Anakin. I promise you. No, I promise you!", Joss should earn enough to buy the whole of Fox." |

Hi guys!
Loved this episode, especially the interview. Makes me consider getting the Serenity RPG book (and the closest I've ever come to playing an RPG is GTA San Andreas, that's saying a lot!).
Can't wait for the next episode (a finale ) _________________

I had a drink... when it was said to have one...and I laughed at the oddness of me actually having a drink when saying you should have one.
As always I liked the podcast a lot! _________________ “I’m a leaf on the wind, watch how I soar”-Wash (from Serenity- the movie)

Another great show! Listened to it twice today and it'll take at least another listen before all the info settles in my brain.
First: Feel better Kari! Poor voice!
Second: Thanks heavily for pimping Firefly Talk!
Third: I'm not the RPG type, but that book sounds like it'd be an awesome source for fanficcers, too!

Fantastic Firefly tribute guys! I swear I got very choked up. Honestly, there were tears.
As for the RPG, I spent nearly 20 years playing just about every kind of role-playing game on the market (leaning heavily towards Palladium and Call of Cthulhu primarily), but it's been years since I more or less gave all that up.
However, I did buy the Serenity RPG just to have the additional reference material. And trust me unchartedoutlaw, it's worth it. Beautiful package with lots of info. _________________ "Pain or damage don’t end the world, or despair or f*cking beatin’s. The world ends when you’re dead. Cover price on it is $39.99, but I get a discount from my local comic shop so I think it ended up running me about $32. _________________ "Pain or damage don’t end the world, or despair or f*cking beatin’s. Great episode. I'm anxious to see what kind of campaign the Hickman's come up with. I'm a fan of the old TSR games and really miss the early days of pen and paper RPG's when things were fresh and the writing was brilliant.
There have been reports on the official movie boards that several countries have pulled their openings. Is this something you'll be covering in the next podcast? |

| Is there a way/place to download the longer version of serenity? It really bothered me that the serenity track was only 51 seconds and the longer version on show 15 was great. |

Taylor,
Thanks! My voice is about 99.5% better...still a niggling little cough, but at least sounds come out now. _________________ Listen to "The Signal"

Long time listener, first time writer... is there *any* way to get ahold of that mixed together extended serenity theme? It's just... perefect. The soundtrack's versions just arent as satisfying as that is...

Sure. Just download the Signal and then chop it out. I'm baffled by why that's hard. _________________

It's 128kb/s.
The Signal is encoded using VBR. You get 64kb/s for voice, and 128kb/s for music. Is that not good enough?
Even if it's not, there's probably not much we can do about it. The mix may be mine, but the underlying material is UIP's. And we won't do anything which undermines sales of the Soundtrack album. Another thing you could do, of course, is remix it yourself. All it is is bits from the soundtrack album stuck together.
This is probably the most highly requested song we've ever had in the music section. (Second highest would be the instrumental version of the Ballad of Serenity). I am really quite staggered at how popular this is. I'm glad yall like it, but remember that I cannot (and will not) put it online in isolation, in case someone downloads it instead of buying the soundtrack album. I'm not suggesting that any of you guys would do that, but someone might. _________________
