I'm so far behind of my listening, I am embarrassed to admit I have yet to listen to any of the special podcasts.
It's a situation that will be rectified. |

Well I don't mind that, but those things were partly supposed to remind you to vote for Firefly Talk over at podcastawards.com every day for the last two weeks. (Today is the last day of voting). I do hope that not listening to the podcasts didn't stop you from voting. _________________

No, I voted each day.
But I just didn't have time to listen to the podcast each day. Too much going on.
You'll be glad to know that in the last two days I've caught up on the most recent episode of The Signal, episode #54 of Firefly Talk, and the first 7 Summer Of Serenity minicasts. |

| I finished listening to all the SOS minipodcasts yesterday. All were some pretty good stuff, even the things I had heard before. |

Now I'm confused. It was all completely original.
(...OK, I guess you could have the musical pieces before...) _________________

According to the podcastawards site, the winners will be announced tomorrow (the 15th). The only thing left to do now for Firefly Talk is cross your fingers. _________________ Tech Geek & Host of for Signal Serenity & Firefly podcast

I liked the daily mini-casts. It was a good reminder to go to the Pod Awards and vote! I'm not sure that I voted every day, but I sure made a good attempt at doing just that. I probably missed the weekends but got in a vote every weekday.
If not for the "summer of serenity" podcasts, it is very possible that I would have forgotten to vote on most days. _________________ Firefly fan by way of the Serenity Movie, but I also play with Snowcats, guns, dogs, tractors and antique cars.

A far as I'm aware, with the exception of Tangled Up In Brown (which appeared on The Signal in early Season 2 IIRC), all the Signal bits were totally original, as was the Sending a Wave (done about 2 days before it came out in SoS: I was there and Strangely Literal bits. I'm pretty sure that all the FFT bits were also new, most were articles that came from the recent article competition and so would have definitely been new. (It's possible that the opening paragraphs of some of those had been on FFT as part of the discussion of the competition, I think only the winning and 2nd and 3rd place articles have been heard in full so far)
Anyway, I thought it was a worthy successor to Fantasy Firefly and Thoughts of Firefly from previous years. The Badgers World (SoS#2 I think) was fun to do (it always is) and the Sending a Wave bit (#16?) was indecently easy to record (It's always a hoot doing SaW, he says like he's a regular

Tangled up in Brown has never appeared on the Signal. People may well have heard it before in other places though, because it's been out there on the internet for a while. It's also possible to have heard the Persephone Pickers track before - but only if you bought the CD. Even so - nothing that appeared on SoS had ever been played before on either the Signal or Firefly Talk. _________________

Hmmm...for some reason I thought the Big Damn Test Kitchen was a repeat. Sorry, must be seeing into the future or something. |

All of our hard work has paid off. Firefly Talk has won the Movies/Film category. The Best Produced category winner won't be announced until September 28th. Thank you everyone who took the time to vote!

Yes, congratulations all round to all concerned with FFT.
I'd also like to echo the positive comments about SoS. It was really nice to be able to get a daily fix on the verse. _________________ Hell, I've been to the edge. |
