Thanks for the review of Spaced. It is indeed a geekily fantastic series and, alone, was worth the price of my NTSC/PAL converter DVD player.
Too bad the review could not include all the richly detailed sight gags, especially the scene where Tim rails against The Phantom Menace being a "trumped-up fireworks display of a toy advert" or the big gang fight in episode 5, season 2.
Good times, good times. |

Oh god yes, the whole "male testosterone fueled bonding" thing with the slo-mo gun fight - its one of the most You Tubed clips of Spaced - was wonderful, but there's only so much you can do in 10-12 minutes without video. As it was, the review was clip heavy, but glad you liked it.
The visual aspects and references are probably as numerous and clever as the dialogue based ones, but we're an audio podcast, so what can ya do?
Lets hope the DVD issues get resolved at long last so more folks over the water can enjoy it.

Me too. My favorite line from it is "There's a 29.22% chance that this verse won't scan, But rewriting it in iambic -- oooh, dancing!". Tom does some very creative and original work. He has lots of great songs on his iTom blog. http://filkertom-itom.blogspot.com/2007/09/050-im-on-firefly.html _________________ Tech Geek & Host of for Signal Serenity & Firefly podcast
