Hi everyone,

Incase you haven't seen the new FAQ, we are having a Browncoat Cruise store onboard selling shiny Cruise merchandise and items from other dealers too. What cruise merchandise you ask? We'll have a 17"x22" Travel Poster designed by Adam-Levermore Rich, who created the popular QMx travel poster series.

T-Shirts and a Cruise DVD too! And...something else very shiny that may make you salivate. What you say? You'll just have to tune in early next week when preorders start. We're only printing enough T-Shirts based on preorders, and a small handful to sell onboard. I'll let everyone know when you can place your order. Thanks!

Wow, that is a very cool poster! I met Adam at the Creation con last weekend, and had my set of Blue Sun Travel posters signed. He's such a nice fella. Is this design going to be on brown t-shirts? (fingers crossed)

Say, the exclusive dogtags. Is this something you want to sell only on the cruise, or is this something you'd like to sell on a wider scale? If it is, I could send out a newsletter to my jewelry store customers, who would happily snatch up a bunch.

Hi Jetflair, boy you discovered that link fast Wink Thanks for the offer, but I'd like to wait. Although we don't have an official policy, we are gearing sales mostly to our loyal Cruise Browncoats who are welcome to purchase extras for their friends who aren't coming; with all of our preparations, we'd rather avoid shipping product right now, although that may change. Preorders can be picked up at the Kick-Off Party or onboard.

Please go to our Reservations Page and look at the Browncoat Cruise Store. Preorders have now started. We have:

- Celebrity Guest Autographs
- Celebrity Guest Photo Ops
- Exclusive Mal and Zoe Dog Tags (designed by Ben Mund aka Whitefall)
- Limited Edition Browncoat Cruise Travel Posters (designed by Adam Levermore-Rich who will be onboard to autograph your unofficial 6th QMx travel poster!)
- Limited Edition Browncoat Cruise T-Shirts (we're only printing a small number over preorders, so preorder if you want one)

Online very soon:
- Browncoat Cruise DVD
- Group Photo Ops
- Dinner with a Celebrity Guest

Those are most of the surprises, but I can tell you there is another "shiny" merchandise surprise only available onboard Smile

Brian

I mentioned this on the "autographs" thread and feel it's worth mentioning here. Can we get an 8X10 version of the Cruise Poster? It'll be easier to get Autographed, and will be easier to transport home. I hope y'all will consider that... Thanx! Smile

More problems...

I attempted to place an order in the Cruise Store, and when it came time to pay, I wasn't forwarded to the correct PayPal page. I ended up on a page that said "retry" and wouldn't let me go any further toward paying. Sad

I surely do agree, 8X10 would be a lovely size...signable and big enough to be appreciated as art.

Thanks for the note about the store. Jeremy and I were up in the wee hours getting it online.

Jeremy tested it and it appears to work fine now - perhaps it was just a little moody? Smile Please try again.

I agree, an 8x10 would be a great size, and we'll evaluate doing that. The problem with an 8x10 is the minimum quantity we'd have to order through our supplier, and that we're spending the money to make 500 posters that need to sell Smile The poster size was chosen, because it's a poster Smile, and to fit with the other Travel Posters that Adam designed.

Thank you, Brian. It's evidently working now; I was able to complete my order. Smile

I understand about the Posters, and intend to purchase one in the larger size. I just think an 8X10 would be a sensible size for Autographs. Why not just print a couple hundred out on cardstock? No need to involve a Publishing Firm at all... and they'll be unique collector items, even more exclusive than the Poster size! Only those who actually went on the Cruise would have them, after all. Smile

Here's a question re the group celebrity photo op.

Can we put two people into one photo op?

Reason I ask is, when I went on the west coast Trekruise in 1987, they did a group celebrity photo op, and there were two empty seats in the front row. People lined up and went two at a time.

Since it was all film photography back in those days (and it was the ship's photographers who took the pictures), it took a whole lot longer to oder a second print, and the person getting the second print didn't have time to get all the autographs on it before the end of the cruise. I got lucky and got a solo photo op, and thus got the autographs.

On this cruise, I'd much prefer to be photographed with my buddy, and hopefully we can get an extra print much more quickly than it could be done 20 years ago.

Here's what my 20-year-old photo op looked like:

Oh, and in case anybody doesn't recognize the guy on the far right... that's Andy Probert, and apparently he designed the TNG Enterprise model.

Yeah, I'd like to know about that, as well...whether we can have more than one person in the group photo op. I'd kind of like to have one done with my two roomies, myself, and all the guests...is that an option? Would we have to buy separate tickets for it?

Hi,

As far as having two people in one photo-op, we can do that. Each person would need to buy a photo op with a particular VIP, then we could certainly take a combined photo for you.

Err... I guess I wasn't clear. If I want both myself and my buddy in the $120.00 group celebrity photo... do we have to pay for the op twice, or do we pay once for the op and then buy an extra print?? Because if we have to pay that price twice, we aren't going to do it.

At the Flanvention-that-wasn't we were supposed to get a "let's be bad guys" op with Nathan and Adam, the two of us were allowed to be in it for the photo-op price (which I think was $75) and then one of us was going to buy an extra print for $10 or something like that. In other words, their rule was, buy the photo op, and you could put two people (and no more) in the photo (besides the celebrity, that is). I was hoping this would work the same way....

And frankly I think you'll sell more group photo ops overall if people can be in the op with their buddies, and then just buy extra prints. If every single person has to pay $120 each, I don't know how many people are going to opt in for that. I know we won't. So it's either $120 for the two of us, and an extra print, or zero. We just can't stretch the budget any further than that.

Also - will the tshirts and posters and other non-photo/autograph stuff be available for sale *at* the cruise? Because I can only spend so much money beforehand.

One more question... Wink

Will the photo op pics be done and given to us PRIOR to the autograph sessions?

I am still unable to place an order for photo ops and autographs. I get taken to an invalid paypal page. I'm frankly getting tired of trying. Will these be available for purchase once we get on board or do we have to purchase in advance?

I understand your frustration. I'll let Jeremy know that the store is having issues again. I'm not a technical person at all, so I'm not clear on the reasons for all the problems. You will be able to purchase Photo Ops and Autographs on board, though it will be cash only. There is an ATM aboard the ship.

Posters, Photo Ops, Autographs, and other merchandise will be available onboard. We will have a limited number and sizes of T-shirts available onboard as well. But, to guarantee that you get the correct size, I would recommend that you pre-order your T-shirt.

I know this was asked before but I can't remember if there was ever an answer - do we know when the autos/photos will be taking place? I don't mean specifically, but if the autographs took place towards the end of the cruise I could be tempted by more depending on my cash situation by then (ie how much of it I have left, as I have three things I'd like Jonathan to sign, and two for Nectar). If it's at the start I'd just have to stick to one item each and hope to see them at a future event I attend, and it means I could leave some stuff at home!

We're still working on the schedule. That's great input about having an Autograph Session towards the end of the cruise so eveyone has a chance to get those last minute autographs.

Hrmm... I just tried again and I was able to buy a poster. I'm not sure where the problem is coming from, but it doesn't appear to be consistent. Were you trying to use a credit card or PayPal? I've done both, and they seem to work, though it won't let me pay my self via PayPal, so I didn't get to the very end of that process. I did get through the whole process with a credit card without any problems...

Although I've purchased one of the group shots, it's with the hope that my sister will be able to share the cost with me by being in the shot, too. Isn't having up to 2 in the shot kind of standard, as CrankyBeach mentioned?

Hi, with photo-ops, don't worry -- you will be able to have friends in the same picture, for the single photo-op cost. Additional prints of that photo op would be an additional charge.

And yes, all of our merchandise, with the exception of a limited number of t-shirts, will be available on the cruise. We wanted to give people the option to preorder and use their credit card, since we'll only be able to accept cash on the ship. While the limited items like Dog Tags may not sell out beforehand, please remember they are limited.

Yay! :) Thanks so much, Brian!! (How many friends?) ;)

Also... is there any chance I can ask you folks to set aside a certain size shirt for me aboard the ship? I know that's above and beyond what you've said, but I can only afford to prepay for the big ticket items before we go...

We are planning on having a group picture with everyone that's on the Browncoat Cruise.

As far as numbers of people in a photo op, we don't want to put an actual number limit. We just ask that we are all respectfull of each other and our VIP Guests. If you are having more than one person in a Photo Op, it would be helpful to have an idea of where each person will stand prior to your turn. We want to make sure that everyone is able to have that perfect memento from the cruise, but please keep in mind that there may be some limits due to location and set up of the photo ops.
