I'm not sure what happened there though. We were all set to air the 2007 Holiday Special and then some weird temporal glitch happened and overwrote the episode with this bizarre 2029 thing. It's a mystery to me!
I'm sure glad you enjoyed it though! _________________

does that mean that the signal in 2029 just aired the 2007 holiday special?
and if the 2029 special was aired in 2007, how come people didnt already know that the show they were making in 2029 was going to be sent into history. In fact, why did they make it at all? Why not just download it from the archives and re-send it that way.

Actually, now you come to mention it, there was a message with that recording. I think it was "Save the podcaster, save the Whedonverse", or ... something like that. It didn't make much sense to me at the time.
...and before anyone starts, No Heroes spoilers on this thread!

I think the answer is the one they came up with on Heroes: the future is not written in stone. If we want a future which contains lots of Firefly, it's up to us to make it happen.
Now someone hurry up and invent airfiles! _________________

That episode rocked, it is totally not what I expected and I loved it. I was hesitant to listen cause I don't like the holiday stuff and thought it was really gonna be about that. I'm glad I was mistaken. It was cool how you dug up that lost episode of moonshine after 25 years of not being aired, you guys super impress me all the time.
Thanks |

My first ever philosophy lecture my professor went into this time travel pradox to do with a British Comedy show called Goodnight Sweatheart. It's about a guy rom thw 90's who can travel back in time to the 1940's. He makes his living by passing off obscure Beatles songs as his own. My Professor tried to convince us that these songs were self-created entities same thing with this episode of the Signal. The present Signal crew couldn't have written it because it comes from the future. The future Signal crew couldn't have written it because they knew about it before it was written. So the only possibility left is that the episode wrote itself. It also recorded produced and edited itself. I think you should change the credits to reflect this.
Saying that, I loved the episode great job. My favourite touch was Les's daughter Kaylee marrying a guy called Simon. Everyone say AHHH! _________________ Alliance, n. The Signal has always striven to be culturally neutral, so we don't acknowledge any particular December holiday. We have had three holiday specials so far - each has been different, and none of them have ever been christmassy. Hopefully, that will never change, as I never want to alienate any part of our audience. (And I speak as someone who doesn't celebrate christmas, so I do get it).
Instead, our holiday specials are really just markers that tell you it's the end of the season - in this case, the end of season three. Because the Signal has a standard format for the regular shows, it is always fun, at the end of the year, to throw away the rule book, and make something different. You might like the previous hol specials!

Yes, we're having a little dispute about that! We can't decide whether to make it in audio, or film it in black and white. <Sigh>. Guess it could be decades before that one's resolved.
Really, really glad you enjoyed it.

| I know I havn't listened to season 1 yet, but I thought I had listened to all of season two. I'm gonna go back and check to see if I missed part of two and I'm gonna go listen to season 1 also. I am struck by both the quality and content of the show, it has totally helped me enjoy Firefly more than when it was just a movie and tvshow that i really liked, now I know there are lots of others. very cool... |

Thanks for the kind words and I love to hear stories like yours.
While, as fans, we can't control when the next movie is made we can help to create our own community that allows each of us to enrich the Firefly/Browncoat experience.

I agree. George is brilliant, and everyone should go out and buy his albums and non-coloring book. (And for those folk who don't like the idea of paying shipping, all five of George's albums are available for download from the iTunes music store).
And while we're thanking people, I'd just also like to thank Phil Rossi and JC Hutchins for giving us permission to incorporate their work. Both of those podcast novels are well worth listening to. _________________

Geo's call was brilliant. I intentionally didn't listen to it until it appeared in the final episode and it has me cracking up. Of course, not that I could have with all the time displacement issues ... _________________ Tech Geek & Host of for Signal Serenity & Firefly podcast

What fun! I was unpacking, putting stuff away, washing clothes, facing up to the fact that I had to start my real life again and I get to listen to this imaginative show. Thanks guys.
