Firefly Between the Lines is coming.
sillies.
We finish BBtL in May of 2008
Season 2 will start in August of 2008 and finish in April of 2009
Then Angel Between the Lines will start after that
and then Firefly Between the Lines.
I already have some pitches for ideas for Firefly Between the Lines, so it's being planned.

I've mentioned this before, but you may have forgotten: I would love to be a writer for Firefly between the lines. How do I apply?
PS. Anyone who wants to be an actor in a Firefly audio drama already in production, please take a look at Dark Places, and either PM me or email me.

Will do, but I'm sure I'm not the only writer who'd like to join in with this one, so an official answer from the would be very welcome.
The reason I ask is that back in November 2007, in this thread, , I said "I'd like to volunteer to join your staff as a writer for the Firefly series. I know it's a long way off, but I thought I'd get my bid in early". Tabz responded "As soon as we get to that point (where we're looking for writers) we'll let people know and how they can apply to write."
So I'm assuming then that FbtL is now looking for writers (otherwise where did those pitches for ideas come from?)

We aren't actively looking - it's people emailing me going - "I'm a part of Buffy Between the Lines and I have a GREAT idea for Firefly Between the Lines."
Our writers are picked from writers of the previous shows first, then we have people pitch ideas and they are selected out of the pitches. And there'll be an announcement, much like Angel Between the Lines announcement.
All writers are paired with a co-writer and given an outline (based on pitches and the Exec team's idea for the overall theme and plot for the series.
Writers then have about 3 months to work on their first draft. It's sent to the beta team - then a second draft is written.
Then Tabz/Kim go through the script and drop in anything that needs doing (like threads to previous episodes, couple phrasing changes).
And then it's off to the voice actors!
All that to say - sure I'll take informal pitches - but we're not actively looking for anything yet.
BUT - since Firefly is such a passionate pull for so many people - I can say the faster you get your pitch in the better.
