I'll never understand how Joss packs so much into so few pages. A couple of brief glimpses and already some of his pereinnial themes are coming through. The relationship between the Actives and Topher already resonates with the Slayer/Watcher relationship: its the next level of trying to turn people into tools. We get discussions on love and the justifications for doing what's right. Also I never knew you could have a conversation about high heels say something so profound. Can't wait for the real thing.
