Hey guys n gals!
Im just cacting up. Ive been a bit naughty, and let a back log of shows build up. Sorry! I have just finished show 10.5, your bonus show, and I must say, it has inspired me to go out and see if I can get the trade comics somewhere. Since I am not into comics, not really quite sure where and how thats going to happen, but theres a first time for everything aint there?
The fresh bao.... well, that just sounds brilliant. Especially for packed lunches. Going to give that a go the next time I have some left over meat. Wonder how chicken works?
So, yes, heres to my Signal marathon this weekend. Hopefuly I would have caught up by tomorrow, and I can comment something relevent.

Some of our forum members from the UK might be able to give you some first hand recommendations on good mail order companies in your area.
Here in the US I've heard very good things about Things From Another World...
http://www.tfaw.com
Not sure what their international shipping rates are like though.
Good luck,

Dani, I can recommend Ingognino Comics down in Kent. There were there at Serenity Complete and I have had good service from them mail order when looking for quite old back issues. I'm sure they would be able to help (being Browncoaty minded and all
Good website and online ordering and prices reasonable.
Forbidden Planet is OK if you want to go the larger corporate route (I remember when they were just one little pokey shop in Denmark St off the Charring Cross Road) and they are usually OK.
On a personal recomendation if you have no luck via the online route, Comic Connections in Banbury is my local store and I have been buying from Glyn for 14+ years. I know he would be able to help. (They certainly deal by mail order) The other guys there are also pretty good (Tim and Tom...and possibly Sid if he hasn't buggered off to Leeds yet) There is no website at the moment but their email is Comicconnections@aol.com and the phone number is 01295 268989.
Tell 'em Nick (Edwards) sent you

excellent! love it. love you guys!
suppose DragonCon is up next (which is whythe boards are so quiet?)
anyway, I dont know what you are going to do, or what you had planned, but are you going to start up a 'Browncoat Must Have's' thread, or are you producing a segmant?
Oh, and I have a really good idea for the Scifi Review, problem is, I dont have the facilities to collect sound bites and organise it. But I think it would be really good. I mean, character deaths made me cry, and there are other whedon links. Anyway, if you are interested, let me know (with help), cos I really have no idea what Im doing |

While we don't normally accept listener submitted audio/articles/segments we are always open to suggestions and ideas on what shows our writers should look at.
Thanks,

Thanks for the tip, Nick. I just got Better Days from Incognito, delivered within 3 days, after my local dealer told me they were unobtainable. _________________ Hell, I've been to the edge. |

I'm glad I'm not the only one who remembers Tripods -- always did wonder what happened to the series (I went abroad half-way through and never found out whether they continued to the ending or not). According to Amazon.co.uk the DVD of series 2 will be out early next year -- but comments on the site indicate this has been in the pipeline for over a year already. _________________ Hell, I've been to the edge. |
