Of course, you all are doing an exemplary job with the production of The Signal, both in style and content. Lo and behold, I nominated y'all for Best Produced and Movies/Film categories as I had been directed, only to hear that only ONE nomination per podcast was allowed. SO, I went back and used my alternate email addy to RE-nominate you in the Movies/Film, GeoLogic again in Entertainment, and This American Life in General.

You podcast is all shiny goodness, just so you know. You are my main source for news and events of the 'verse. FFTalk runs a close second to you, but that podcast is extremely irregular.

And, you've turned me onto OTHER PodioBook entries, who occupy the time between The Signal, ThisLife, GeoLogic and FFTalk. I've ripped thru the 7th Son trilogy in 10 days, Ancestor in 5 days, and going into PFKeeps next.

You'll see this message in the forum, too, just wanted to remind folks to nominate the bestest and shiniest podcast out there, The SIGNAL. Can't Stop the Signal, it goes EVERYWHERE!

Cheers dude. That goes above and beyond (and yes, the rule changes caught us out somewhat!) Yup, there is some good go-se out there Smile

Your avatar still puts me in stitches whenever I see it, I may have to get one o' them there cunning stitched hats and do my own returning your gose eating grin. Laughing

BTW, amigo, when does the VOTING start at the PodcastAwards? I can't find any info on the site, nor the acknowledgment that they send after a nomination...

heh.

TBH, we don't know when the voting will start either! We need to be nominated first of course, which hopefully with your help and ours and everyone elses has been done enough to get us into the list of finalists for that category. That process ends tomorrow (so anyone not nominated us yet, PLEASE DO!)

Then they have to go through the first round of judging (which include checking eligibility criteria) to select finalists. I guess that may take a couple of weeks. They should inform us if we've made it to the voting stage. As soon as that happens, we'll announce it here and on the main show and if the voting period starts before the next show is due out, there *will* be something on the feed (in fact there will be something every day during voting to remind folk and give them something to listen to Smile

Now, a question, even if it is too late to make more nominations. Embarassed

If you were among those that DID nominate the dah bien-hua SIGNAL podcast for 2 shiny categories by mistake, did either of those nominations get recorded, or were they ignored because the rules were violated? Question

Les, you said "links" would be in your show notes, and aside for those posted by "Kev", they ain't any. I would like to see the Dr Horrible skits, but without the URL, is "HooLoo" enough to go on?

The show notes are always a team effort.

I'm guessing that when you say "HooLoo" Les was probably referring to HuLu at http://www.hulu.com .

The videos of the Dr Horrible sing along from Dragon*Con can be found here...

One thing the videos can't show you is the energy that was in the room and even in the line waiting to get in. Laughing

Thanks, Kevin. I found it by using Dogpile and HooLoo, it eventually provided the link that you left here. Anyway, saw the video, found it amusing, and was impressed at how it was done.

You're welcome.

If you're a Buffy fan then you might also enjoy the video from one of the Buffy Horror Picture Shows done at the con...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cyoRlKZhLTk

This one is so popular they had three of these back to back on Friday night.

Signal crew member Wayne Hutchinson who is also the director of the Whedon Universe track at the con is part of the crew that put this on. They all did a great job!

Just going back and getting timing, and, well, you need to listen to the episode in order to determine stops and starts, and in the show opening, Les made the correction. SHINY

Someday I'll be able to go there myself.
