You have a lisp? Seriously, not that noticeable. Thanks for the feedback as always!

OK, you guys are driving me crazy....what is the music that's playing just as the Robin Hood article is beginning...it sounds so familiar and I can't get it out of my head.

Thanks!

Nick,

I see you are part of Buffy Between the Lines. Do you know of any chances of them doing Angel Between the Lines?

Again, sorry to be off topic.

It's the Robin Hood (2006) theme tune. Here's the official BBC website. (It's nowhere near as good as the definitive Robin of Sherwood, of course - and we used some music from that, too).

Now I know why it sounded familiar. I really liked that show, but somehow I seemed to have missed the second season.

Thanks for putting my pitiful brain at ease!

Well I've just been reminded that I need to get my Episode 2 lines in Smile

Not joking.

ABtL is in full blown production *right now*.

Not a secret, we were always going to do ABtL once it was clear that BBtL was not a one off.

See www.betweenthelinesstudios.com

The main writers for FFBtL have already been chosen (we even ran a promo for that on The Signal at the time and there should be a thread over in General Discussions as well)

So yes, Firefly Between The Lines is more than just a vague idea too Smile

Nick
(But no, I'm not one of the writers and I'll have to audition like everyone else come the time to act in it)

Also, everyone should check out Charlie Jade. Smile If you're in the UK, you can rent it.

My lines don't start until episode 3. However, I'm just a bit player so you probably won't even know it's me on that episode. Laughing

I don't think I can stress enough how good Charlie Jade is.

I'm going to make an attempt to find Charlie Jade. I know I can buy it from Amazon UK, but my budget is a bit strained right now. I checked Netflix and they don't have it - which makes sense since it's a "region" thing.

Also - I just wanted to mention that I finally went to the section on the site where I can "meet" my favorite podcasters. It was really great to see faces that go with the voices, and to read all of the bios!

Since you ALL sound like such a lovely group of browncoats I think that you should all move to New Jersey (South Jersey that is) so that we can hang out and watch Firefly and go to shindigs!

Well.... I can dream can't I....

I'm also on a tight budget when it comes to DVDs.

95% of my viewings are done via Netflix also. Charlie Jade is one of only 4-5 DVDs sets that I've purchased over the past couple of years.

Right now the box set from Amazon.co.uk would cost you about $29 US delivered to a US address. They sometimes put these sets on sale and I do have a price tracker in place so if the price drops I'll let everyone know. Wink

FWIW I've had great experiences on the two occasions (Charlie Jade and Blood Ties) that I've purchased DVDs from Amazon.co.uk. They shipped promptly and arrived to me on the US east coast in about a week.

Most of us are nowhere near as scary as we sound! Laughing

You're best shot for an in person get together would probably be at Dragon*Con since many of the crew regularly attend. Other than that you'll probably need to settle for hearing us on the podcast, seeing us here on the forums and maybe following several of us on Twitter.

Thanks,

Kevin

Another series Jill recently reviewed that I'd recommend is Blood Ties which just recently became available in the US/Canada. The first half of the season 1 DVDs are now on Netflix.

Now I am normally really against online viewing but since there is no way for us to rent it and if we don't have a multi-region dvd player...what else can we do?

http://motionempire.com/Browse_TV-Shows__Charlie_Jade_Season_01__13404.html

I'm not sure if it has all the shows but it's better then nothing!

Everyone has a multiregion DVD player: it's called a computer. Just install VLC and you can watch anything from any region. Also, multiregion DVD players are really pretty cheap to buy (I just found one on Amazon.com for $29.95, which is probably less than the price of Charlie Jade).

Except ... Oh wow! They appear to have Space Cases (kids' sci-fi series featuring a very young Jewel Staite) on that website!!! You can't even buy that! Thanks for the website reference, G! Smile

Hey Nick,
The information on the Between the Lines Studios website is really old. The most recent update was six months ago. Is there something in the world that has a more up-to-date status on it?
