I had such a blast talking to everyone and I was trying so hard not to be a fan girl. I've been a Sending a Wave fan for a long time, which made meeting Wendy at Dragon*Con a real treat. |

Yeah, our Wendy is quite a character
I get on extremely well with all the SaW crew, having started off as a fan as well.
Glad it all went well at D*C. (I assume it did

Hi MJ here.
It was really great to here the central planet of the browncoat verse in full swing. Shame about Les dropping out. great work.
I think this years creation convention will be a significant one for browncoats. It just a bummer Im too far away. It was a dream of mine to have the Bellflower finished and presented there this year, go over to the convention and be able to contribute and be involved.
The film is still a ways off and we have lost Scott Obrien who decided to call it quits. Even though he will be missed, we have a new team, with great visions, and attention to detail. so its taking longer with visual effects but the detail (if you thought it was good before), is well.. beyond anything I could have hoped for.
Now, The complete film is edited with animatics in place. It has been re editied and tightened up. we have dropped alot of scenes and bits and peices, and the film is much better for it.
We are currently piecing together foley, ADR into a great quality and sounding track. I still wreckon the film will be feature length ~ 80mins.
So I wanted to let you guys know: everyone, we are still here, we are working hard, we have new people involved everyday. alot of commitment to this film. I will send the signal and wave crews some images of the WONDERFUL city of new Melbourne like you have never seen a city in the verse!
It has always been the dream to try to create something honest, loved and respectful to Joss's vision. When I look at the edit, there are parts I weep I am so proud. I just wanted you guys to know that as a creator and director of this project, All the bits are there, the cgi models, the city, the sound, but most of all, the simple story of a person in the verse, just making her way.
She is so close but still not quite there. We are still flying and the excitment even after all these years, is fresh and regenerated everyday. I just pray that one day, I get to share it with you all. |

Hey MJ,
good to hear from you. So things have been a mite insane recently I take it? Well, that's real life for you Still, *very* reassuring to hear that stuff is still progressing and improving. The Bellflower is proving a longer journey perhaps than originally planned, but we all still can't wait to see the finished work, I'm sure it will be all the sweeter for having overcome a few obstacles sucessfully when it's done. We'll look forward to some shiny pics in the meantime
I'm hoping to get to D*C 2010 and I know that Wendy had such a good time this year, that she's very keen to try to make 2011, so you have to try and premiere in front of at least one of us
Yeah, we'll do the joint show thing again at some point as it was a lot of fun. Thanks for the original suggestion!
Keep Flyin

Yeah, it sucked. Les was talking and so on and then...he was just gone. Turns out his computer got all crabby and I think something happened to the hard drive, so he couldn't call back in and rejoin us. |

Do not panic... I'm still here. Jill is right, my PC locked up during recording. We were using Skype as the bridge, so it dropped me from the call. After several reboot attempts I just couldn't get back. About a week or two later that PC gave it up for good and died completely. _________________ Tech Geek & Host of for Signal Serenity & Firefly podcast
