I can hardly wait.
Yes, yes, I know I see all the parts as they're being constructed, but the finished piece seems somehow greater than the sum of its parts. _________________ --------------------------------

Comments before the episode's even out! I'm impressed.
Anyway, we had a technical hitch, and there will be a delay. This episode will now be out on Thursday, not Wednesday. _________________

Did the technical glitch take out the server pages? I'm getting a bunch of gibberish trying to go to the website, the main page and the podcast/blog page appear similar in gibberishness... _________________ Slice of SciFi / The Dragon Page

The episode is available by RSS feed right now, it is not listed on the webpage yet, but will be soon. Once again we are reminded that the fastest way to get new shows is to get an podcast catcher (like ipodder).

I just discovered your podcast last week and I love it! I listened to the first one and thought, 'How cool!' I had my ipod strapped to my hip for the next three hours catching up on the rest of the episodes. The interview today with Adam was great.
After work today I went out and bought the UK version of Battlestar Galactica so I could watch the Serenity disk. How goram awesome! Lots of behind the scenes stuff and mini interviews with the cast and Joss.
Ya know that feeling you get when you know something exciting is about to happen. Your heart starts to race, your fidgeting because you know you're about to get to go do something really cool, that's the feeling you get after watching this disk. Is it September 30th yet!! |

Awesome!!! I need to get the BG set not only for the disk but because I missed the whole first season. But that's awesome news that the Serenity DVD is so cool.
Glad you enjoyed the podcast.

The show continues to grow by leaps and bounds. Fantastic interview with Adam! Is there a way to track approximately how many downloads a week The Signal gets? _________________ www.kylehebert.com

Thank you. We're so excited to be doing it.

Yes. The statistics are a bit muddy for our first episode because we had to switch providers, but we do have pretty good data on the other episodes. After running some statistics on the logs (to eliminate duplicates) we show that we have an audience of around 2500 listners, that's about a T1 of continuous bandwidth. We don't have data about location of listners (which we think would be really interesting), but we hope to at some point.

Loved the show. Of course the Adam Baldwin interview was awesome, but I thought the emails were pretty cool this ep.
Hey I'm just now hearing about this Serenity behind the scenes DVD. I like BSG alot but I'm not ready to shell out fifty+ bucks for it right now. Is there another way we can find to distribute this. _________________ Rome did not create a great empire by having meetings,

not that I know of. The behind the scenes disk is really good. Joss will probably end up putting it in the dvd release of Serenity.
I heared that their are some people selling the behind the scenes on EBay. |

| Chris Buchanan posted a link on the Fox board a while back, showing that one day, a while back, that it actually reached number one. |

I'm running a bit behind so I just finished listening to this episode.
Wow!
I think the highlight for me was the interview with Adam Baldwin. You both did a great job with the questions and it's really cool how long Adam was willing to talk. I especially liked when you mentioned the Amazon ranking and Adam did a quick online check. He sounded very pleased
There's one question I've always wanted to ask Adam and your interview kind of got at it a little bit. When the cast lists were being announced back in early 2002, Trek Today mentioned that Adam Baldwin and Ron Glass had both signed for less episodes than the rest. I can't remember the exact number but it was something like six episodes for Adam and eight for Ron. One day I'd like to find out if this report was accurate and if it hinted at an early demise for the characters that never happened.
* edited to add: Okay. I was a little off. Adam Baldwin for seven and Ron Glass for ten out of the original thirteen episodes. Here's where I first read that report: http://www.fireflyfans.net/news.asp?newsid=183 . Here's the original article: http://www.trektoday.com/news/270202_02.shtml . I was digging around the FFFn archives earlier this year and stumbled on this little tidbit. |

Older episodes are moved off to an archive server, but are accessed via the same URI they were originally published with. Linsyn (our host) is also experiencing some growing pains. I recommend retrying a few hours or days later. Please post here if you continue to have problems.

| What a great interview. It was touching to hear Adam talk as he checked out the Amazon sales of the DVD. He truly appreciates the show, Joss, the movie, and the fans. I appreciate his hard work, love of the story, and seriousness about his craft. |
